SEMCO places repeat order for AIX 2600 G3 HT system

Samsung Electro Mechanics Co (SEMCO), located in Suwon City, Kyungki-Do, South Korea, has ordered another Aixtron AIX 2600 G3 HT MOCVD system. The system will be used for the mass production of a range of semiconductor devices, including GaN-based LEDs.

Dr. H. W. Shim of SEMCO Production R&D said: "Our Advanced Development Team is very confident about the quality of Aixtron’s planetary reactor systems. We have already been able to effectively use the unique features of this technology in device development: high process flexibility, highest reproducibility and unique in-situ process monitoring tool, the EpiTUNE II. These and a very satisfactory local support mean that we can expect to accelerate our development cycles while lowering costs".
