Riber scores multiwafer order in Japan

RIBER SA has received an order for one multi-4-inch wafer production machine, the MBE49 model, from Yokogawa Electric, Japan. This machine will be used in the production of ultra-high performance microwave devices - HBTs, for next generation ultra-high speed communication networks.

Yokogawa's advanced compound semiconductor technology will be combined with expertise in optical transmission network infrastructure to provide long distance or inter continental data transmission systems. Access to extremely high bandwidths will become possible to speed of 40 Gbps, even up to 100 Gbps.
