MSI sensor rationalisation

Measurement Specialties Inc, a designer and manufacturer of sensors & sensor-based products, has acquired certain assets of the industrial pressure sensing business of Polaron Components Ltd. in the UK, for £1.3m ($2.45 m).

For the year ended November, 2004, the acquired product lines generated approximately £1.06m (approximately $2m) in net sales. This represents approximately $750,000 in incremental sales to MSI. The assets were acquired by the company's China operation, MSI Sensors (China) Ltd.

The transaction is effective as of February 1, 2005.
