Wireless software raises $22.4m

Smith Micro Software Inc, a developer and marketer of a wide range of software and service solutions for the wireless market, has successfully completed a private placement of 3,500,000 shares of common stock for $22.4m.

The company intends to use the net proceeds primarily for expansion of its product and customer base, and potential acquisitions.
