Mimix Broadband 7.5-22.5 / 15.0-45.0 GHz active doubler is RoHS compliant

Mimix Broadband, Inc., has launched a new format 7.5 to 22.5 / 15.0 to 45.0 GHz active doubler in a 3x3 mm QFN surface mount plastic package that is RoHS compliant. This packaged device combines an active doubler with an output buffer amplifier that delivers constant power over a range of input powers.

Using Mimix Broadband's 0.15 micron GaAs pHEMT device model technology, the device delivers +15dBm output power from 15 to 45 GHz and has excellent rejection of the fundamental and harmonic products.

This active and broadband doubler, identified as XX1000-QT, is an ideal solution for a variety of applications, including microwave, point-to-point radio, VSAT, E-Band radio, automotive and satellite communications.

As one of the first QFN plastic packaged devices at 45 GHz, the XX1000-QT is an industry leading device.

"Using a low cost plastic QFN package and extending its usage to 45 GHz is a new milestone for Mimix and the mm-Wave world," stated Damian McCann, CTO of Mimix Broadband, Inc. "It gives designers of advanced radio systems the advantage of guaranteed performance specifications, ease of assembly and further cost savings, and it is another example of our commitment to providing a range of cost effective and functionally integrated packaged MMIC solutions."

Engineering samples are available from stock with production volumes available within four weeks of order placement.
