M/A-COM Low-Cost, Lead-Free PQFN Packaged Switch

M/A-COM announced a new RoHS compliant SP4T switch, which is well-suited for antenna switch module applications. The MASW-007813 includes lead-free, power quad flat, leadless (PQFN) package to maximize system linearity performance while simultaneously reducing DC power consumption.

M/A-COM’s MASW-007813 is traditionally deployed in highly functional multi-switching systems that operate on a single antenna, including GSM handsets the most popular standard for mobile phones in the world. The MASW-007813 switch is designed to maintain linearity up to 3.0 GHz, while offering high-power handling with P0.1dB of 38dBm, low typical insertion loss of 0.6dB and an IIP3 of a 57dBm.

The MASW-007813 is housed in lead-free 3mm 16-lead PQFN packaging to streamline cost savings and space requirements. The SP4T switch is fabricated through a low-cost 0.5-micron gate-length GaAs pHEMT process, with full passivation added for high-reliability and is 100% high-power RF tested to ensure complete performance compliance.

The MASW-007813 is available from stock and is priced at $1.15 in quantities of 100,000. Datasheets and supporting technical documents are available online at www.macom.com
